The Hikvision DS-2CD2087G2H-LIU bullet camera is an 8-megapixel model from the ColorVu+Acusense series, POE power supply and the ability to record to a microSD card

 The DS-2CD2087G2H-LIU model  belongs to  the second generation of Acusense  intelligent cameras   used in intelligent monitoring systems. The device is part of the innovative series of   Hikvision  network cameras , which enable smooth recording of images from places and  objects covered by 24/7 monitoring and provide  intelligent analysis  (detection of intrusion, line crossing, entry/exit from the area) based on  the classification of objects  (vehicle, person) additionally supported by  the facial recognition function.

The Hikvision DS-2CD2087G2H-LIU camera can operate in three different night modes, offering  black and white  image using an IR diode,  color  when using a visible light LED, or in  SMART mode , which automatically  changes IR mode to LED when a person or vehicle is detected .

ColorVu technology uses  extremely bright lenses (f=1.0)  and very sensitive  optical sensors and artificial LED  lighting   to generate a color image of recordings even in the middle of the night. The technology is used wherever details visible only in color matter. 

False positive filtering and privacy masking

The camera  uses  Acusense  technology to  distinguish between objects appearing in the frame  (a person, a car or a small animal)  and filter out false alarms.  Small animals, moving leaves, rain or falling shadows do not trigger an alarm and  you only receive important notifications on your phone.

With the  privacy mask system  , you can easily specify parts of the image that you want to exclude from the visual preview, providing greater privacy control and  thus protecting privately sensitive areas (GDPR).

Intelligent image analysis

Extended Digital Dynamic Range D-WDR – this technology allows you to obtain clear, high-quality images in unfavorable lighting conditions.

D-WDR 130dB technology provides greater functionality compared to BLC. Underexposed objects in the image are brightened, while objects that are too bright are darkened. Thanks to this, all elements of the image are visible, even if there is significant contrast. The advantage of cameras equipped with the WDR function is  obtaining high quality images regardless of whether they are  used outdoors or indoors . A camera with the WDR function can work in places with strong sunlight without affecting the deterioration of the quality of the recorded image.

BLC/HLC function for controlling the reverse light

This technology  allows for the elimination of the effect that occurs when the camera is pointed towards a strong light source,  i.e. when the foreground becomes dark and illegible. Compensation consists in brightening the foreground, unfortunately also at the expense of the background, which also becomes brighter.

POE power supply

Power over Ethernet (PoE)  is a solution that enables easy and quick installation of network devices and convenient maintenance and modernization of the installation . Thanks to PoE in the 802.3af standard, the IP camera can be connected using a regular UTP computer twisted pair, which significantly simplifies the monitoring system and allows the camera to be placed anywhere, regardless of the mains power source.
